Powered by the same portfolio of internal and external sensors as WxS 8800, 8700, 9810, WxS 9830 enables worldwide cellular operators to a wide range of IoT use cases.
Santa Clara, Calif., September 10th, 2019 -- Polysense Technologies Inc., (Polysense) an innovation leader in LPWA IoT solutions for wireless and fiber sensing, today announced its 4th IoT sensor product line - WxS 9830. In addition to 3GPP NB-IoT and eMTC technology, the product also supports GSM/e-GPRS as a wireless uplink connectivity option, allowing smooth technology upgrade as the gradual sunset of 2G and enabling users to select the best available wireless coverage in their areas.
Supporting Release 14, multi-mode LTE Cat M1/Cat NB2/e-GPRS, and embedded GNSS for locationing services, the WxS 9830 provides cellular operators with a proven set of sensors for their next generation IoT/M2M networks, enabling an array of IoT use cases such as smart city, structural health monitoring (SHM), machine condition monitoring for preventive and predicative maintenance (MPP), environmental monitoring, logistic tracking, senor care, and smart retail.
“In comparison with WxS 9810, the WxS 9830 supports full bands for global coverage, LTE Cat M1 as well Cat NB2. The EGPRS is strong plus for easy upgrade.” said Alex Wu, President of Polysense. “In addition, power CPU enables advanced edge processing capability which the cellular operators have been requesting. In particular, the embedded GNSS is perfect for tracking use cases.”
To further facilitate the smooth deployment, WxS 9830 supports same sensor portfolio as WxS 8800/8700, WxS 7800 and WxS 9830, over 60 types of sensing parameters.
